Jack Pendarvis is the author of the novels Awesome, and the soon to be released Shut Up, Ugly, as well as the groundbreaking short story collections Your Body is Changing and The Mysterious Secret of the Valuable Treasure. His blog is one of the most consistently funny and odd pieces of pop culture archaeology on the web, and he is a regular columnist for The Believer and Oxford American. His work is brilliant and funny, Southern in the sense that Happy’s Flea Market is Southern. He has taught at Ole Miss and worked as a marionette skeleton’s voice on The Rudy and Gogo World Famous Cartoon Show.
